Privacy Policy – Battle Fold Duo
This policy explains what happens with your data when you use the iPhone and iPad game Battle Fold Duo (“the app”). It applies to the app and to this policy page only.
In short
- You do not need an account, and the app does not ask for your name, e-mail address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information.
- The game runs entirely on your device. Your matches, soldiers and shots are never sent to us or stored on a server.
- The app contains no analytics and no crash-reporting tools.
- The app shows banner advertising from Google AdMob. Showing these ads means that Google receives some technical data from your device (section 4).
- Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the EEA and the UK), you are asked for your consent before any ad is requested.
1. Who is responsible

In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the person named above.
2. What the app itself processes
While you play, the game keeps its state in the device’s memory: where soldiers stand, where ink was placed, whose turn it is and the timers. This is used only to run the game and is deleted when you close the app. It is not transmitted anywhere.
On devices with a hinge, the app reads the hinge angle to notice when you close or open the device. The value is used on the device only and is neither stored nor sent.
The app does not read your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location.
3. What we do not do
- We do not collect, store or sell personal data ourselves.
- We do not run user accounts, analytics, crash reporting or social-media plug-ins in the app.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
4. Advertising with Google AdMob
The app is free. It is financed by banner advertising from Google AdMob, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (for users elsewhere).
What happens
When a banner is shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app contacts Google’s servers to request an ad and to report that it was shown or tapped. According to Google, the following data may be processed for this:
- your IP address and the approximate location that can be derived from it;
- device and software information (for example device model, iOS version, language, time zone, screen size);
- information about the app (name, version, ad unit);
- how you interact with ads (impressions, taps) and technical diagnostics;
- identifiers stored on your device that Google uses for delivering and limiting ads, measuring them and preventing fraud.
Battle Fold Duo does not ask for permission to track you (Apple’s “App Tracking Transparency”), so the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to the ads in the app. Whether ads are personalised depends on your consent and your device settings.
Purposes
Showing ads that finance the app, measuring and improving ads, and detecting and preventing fraud and abuse.
Consent and legal basis
Where required by law (in particular in the EU, the EEA and the UK), the app shows a consent message from Google’s consent management platform (“User Messaging Platform”) when you start it. Ads are requested only if your choice allows it. Your choice is stored on your device by that component.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for storing or accessing information on your device, § 25(1) TDDDG). Where no consent message is shown and the GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in financing the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Withdrawing or changing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Deleting and reinstalling the app resets your choice and you will be asked again. You can also write to us at the address above. Independently of this, you can limit ad personalisation on your device (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking) and in your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
Google’s role and international transfers
For serving and measuring ads, Google acts as an independent controller and processes the data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Google may process data in the USA and other countries outside the EEA. Google states that it relies on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for this.
5. Children
Battle Fold Duo is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are under 16 (or below the age of digital consent in your country), please ask a parent or guardian before agreeing to personalised advertising. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will help.
6. How long data is kept
We do not store personal data about you. Your consent choice stays on your device until you delete the app or its data. How long Google keeps data is described in Google’s privacy policy linked above.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- information about, and access to, your personal data (Art. 15);
- correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18);
- data portability (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
- withdraw a consent you have given at any time (Art. 7(3)); this does not affect processing that took place before.
Because we hold no personal data about you, we can usually only confirm that. For data processed by Google, you can use Google’s tools or contact Google directly. You can reach us at battlefoldduo@damianspaw.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, for example in the country where you live or work, or in Germany the authority of the federal state where you live or where we are based.
8. Security
Because the game keeps no personal data, there is nothing for us to protect on a server. Ad requests to Google are sent over encrypted connections as provided by Google’s SDK.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app changes (for example if we add analytics or another ad provider) or the law requires it, we will update this policy and change the effective date above. The current version is always available at this page.
